Early Saturday morning a vehicle spun off the road and hit the corner of my brick house.
Lots of glass was left behind as well as random plastic body parts. A body shop couldn't tell me what vehicle they were from.

I did find a part from inside the door with some glass still intact.

Can anyone help me ID the make of the vehicle? > 3 views of the part found <
Is it from a GM, Ford, Chrysler, Toyota, etc?

I do know that the damage was done to the passenger side of the vehicle, by parts of the mirror found.

Thanks for any help you can toss my way.

Part of the front window motors ?
Looks shitty, so I'm guessing GM or something japanese.

It's part of where a window was attached, probably to the regulator, but I don't recognize what car it comes from.

Your best bet would be to get a sample of the tire tread left behind and contact my cousin Vinny.

No idea, looks like a shot in the dark.

It looks like a part that holds the window glass to the window regulator. That part is inside the door. The plastic was prolly from the door of the car.Could be a saturn or fiero.

Thanks everyone. I thought we might have some body shop members.
The mystery grows. :)

my guess is a part of the power windows motor. But that fool must have hit your house HARD to have it come off between door and door panel...

They did hit it hard.
The most upsetting thing is that my wife had just walked our New Puppy in that area about 1 minute before the vehicle hit.

Definitely a part that holds the window glass to the regulator. Looks to be from a GM vehicle, as I recognize the monstrous nut and the fact that they use Torx like it's going out of style. That was the only part you found? Seems like there should be more if there was enough damage to deposit that part in your yard. It is inside the door, after all.

A glass shop confirmed that the part is from a 1993-2002 Camaro or Firebird.
The cops just said that's a large group of cars. But I'm thinking, at least it's more than I knew before.

House Pic 1, House Pic 2, Close Up
In the close up view that flash lit up in inside of the crack, making it harder to see in the photo.

Thanks to everyone for their help.

You should be thankful she wasn't standing out there as a potential target.

Referring to pic. 1: is that a new bush/shrub? I don't get how it's still standing with the treads leading right through it...

Hope they can fix your house ok.

That's what's left of a wisteria vine/bush I got from my grandmother's house about 13 years ago. before the state tore her house down for a new highway.
It's got far more sentimental value than anything. :(

The car rode over the top of it. It's somewhat flexible, so it gave without breaking. I'm afraid it's out for this year. All the buds it had on it last week are gone. Some of the roots got pulled up by the car.
