Oh and I suppose the size of the tip should be a percentage of the total of the bill, that makes perfect sense. Expensive food is harder to carry or some shit.

Baaaa Baaaaaaaaa

If you are so cheap, then I guess you should not order expensive food :D Don't like unwritten social rules, then don't live in society. You already get paid for your work, then why do you accept bonus?

The only reason I tip bar tenders, waitresses, and pizza delivery is because it has become a societal norm. Everyone else can go f themself.

The only reason I do it is so I don't have to worry about anyone spitting in my food when I come back the next time. Or worse.

People working for $2.13 per hour in the states that allow it should get tips until those states fix their fucked up laws.

Nobody else deserves tips. Plenty of entry-level jobs are more difficult and subjected to more abuse than food servers. It makes no sense for food servers to walk away with 15% commission on gross sales.

The sad thing is, like sixone said, it is now a norm that must be followed if we want food without any bodily fluids added to it. This only applies if a person regularly visits a place I guess. Fuck all of them. I'm not tipping them 15% on top of the sales out of my minimum wage.

My brother is working to be a mechanic so he tips the guy who works on the car 2 or 3 extra dollars. That type of tip I can handle.

How many people get a bonus for sub par work like servers do?

Every server in the country HAS to get minimum wage, if their tips don't cover it the restaurant has to cover the difference.

What makes them a sandwich artist, they don't even boat the bread unless you ask them now.

If I ever go to Subway and they actually make this:

I'll give them a tip.

So long as they are making this:

I'm not going to Subway let along tipping the fekkers.

Here in Italy, there are spots that charge you a cover charge to sit down and a charge for them to bring your food 5 feet from the bar to the table.
