I'm getting ready to setup my new AN7 (nForce2), with an XP-M 2400+ 35W, 160GB SATA Seagate HD, Epson printer & scanner, ATI 9800 AIW, all under Windows 2000 Pro.

I think I've got the basics downloaded for a clean install. Am I missing something essential?

As Seen On TV ;)

* Abit uGuru utility
* Abit nforce2 drivers (for the AN7)
* SATA drivers for the AN7 controller
* Rocket Time clock sync
* Epson scanner & printer drivers
* Download Accelerator
* DivX utility
* Sandra 2004 (don't need 3DMark 2001 or 03)
* Unzip utilities
* Spybot S&D
* ZoneAlarm
* Windows 2000 SP4
* ATI Cat drivers
* nVidia system utilities
* Irfan View (image app)
* MSCONFIG for Windows 2000

Thanks! ;)

Blain, those 5.03 UDPs are not any good. This has been the concession over at NFORCERSHQ.com forums. If I were you I'd make a remix of your own that looks like this:

This nForce WinXP driver package remix (4.40b) contains the below components:

Audio driver version 4.42 (WHQL)
Audio utility version 4.44 (WHQL)
WinXP ethernet driver version 3.13 (WHQL)
GART driver version 4.40 (WHQL) with updated uninstaller files
Memory controller driver version 4.40 (WHQL) with updated uninstaller files
SMBus driver version 4.40 (WHQL) with updated uninstaller files
WinXP IDE 2.5 driver version 4.12 (WHQL) with updated uninstaller files

Installer version 4.38

This is for WinXP but you could make a similar remix for Win2K as well.

Blain, the ALC658 is just the DAC for the MCP-T. You should use the audio driver in the 4.27 Int'l release. Also, make sure to use the SW IDE driver v. 2.5, it seems to be the best ever SW IDE driver.
