I ran across some mesh fan filters at SVC, but alas they aren't in stock. 🙁
I've looked at all the online vendors listed in the "CASE MODS: Guides/Articles/Supplies/Gallerys/FAQ/AnandTech Users Cases!" thread (all that can be accessed anyway). None of them but SVC has the screen-type mesh filters that I want.

Can anyone guide me in the right direction to find some of these things? Sorry, but no, I don't want the other mesh filters. 😉

Did you see the ones on Directron? Also why not email SVC customer service and ask when they expect new stock? They have always replied to my questions promptly - one of my favorite places to shop.

I did some pretty thorough searching and couldn't find that filter anywhere else. It is a cool looking one, but I sort of like that dark blue metal screen at Directron too: Link . They also have it in black and silver.

I guess if SVC doesn't get any of their filters in, I may have to settle for one of the Directron mesh grills.

My plan was to cut a hole in the top of a desktop case (directly over the CPU HS), and then install a duct down to the HS fan.
 
Check the duct kits at SVC. I think they may come with a filter. My case has two 80mm fan mounts on the back so eventually the one that is closed off now will have a duct on it to the CPU.

__Update__

SVC replied to my e-mail about the mesh filters discussed above... They don't have them, and don't have any idea when they'll be getting any.

But a search of their site shows that they Do Have some UV sensitive mesh filters of the same basic design as the ones I wanted!

I guess as long as I can live with function over appearance, we have a match! 😉
