This is a long shot, I know. But would someone here know how to obtain CBS archival films? I've sent an e-mail to the CBS feedback address, but haven't heard anything from it.

The archive film I'm looking for is a 1970 CBS News Special, "The World of Charlie Company". The special followed a company of soldiers while they served in Vietnam. The journalist embedded in the company was John (Jack) Laurence, who later wrote "The Cat From Hue".

Thanks :)

It's my understanding that a lot of TV shows/tapes were never saved by the networks, that's why there's no film of the first Superbowl I think it was? Anyway not sure what dates that applies to but it's probably a longshot.

I know someone who works at CBS, and they do have a place they keep archives, but 1970 might be pushing it. If you want to get anythign done - never e-mail. Call them.

Go the the video section of the public library and check out videos made by CBS on the Vietnam war. You might get what you need.
