9cm in rear blowing out/8cm in front sucking air. Enough?

Hi, I probably will only on very rare occassion overclock so when I select a PSU and case are these requirements sufficient?

PSU: 380 or 400 watt using an Antec PSU, like True Power.

Case: 9cm fan in rear of case blowing out, 8cm fan sucking air in front of case. Side of case has air ventilation but no fan. This spec is kind of cases I am looking at since the ones of better quality it seems this is the best I can do as far as fans. Unless I make a big jump and spend a few hundred bucks more. I hate most cases these days including the Antec stuff although it comes close to being acceptable.

This would likely be for the AMD Athlon 3400+ 1mb L2 cache, 90nm process
DFI LANParty UT nF3 250Gb Socket 754 or the Asus K8N-E socket 754
1gb RAM
ATI Radeon 9800 PRO 128mb or the Nvidia equivant (still deciding)
1 firewire 80gb drive

I would like to have the 90mm on intake and the 80mm on exhaust as you already have another at least 80mm exhaust in the PSU. I like to use this formula CFMin >= CFMex + (0.1xCFMex).

How about this?

INWIN S500T

I have a Pentium Northwood in the S500G version of this case running as a Linux server 24x7x365 for the last 2 years. It seems ok although I never measured the temperature inside.

Do you think this case would be ok for the Athlon 3400+ as far as cooling? (1 90mm front, 1 80mm rear). Although I might replace the PSU with a true power.

thx

Go with the DFI, it's cheaper and faster, plus NF3. Asus is K8T8P (they don't have an NF3 yet).

As well, ALL S754 will be the 130nm process, only the S939's are being fabricated in 90nm now (as well as in 130nm, at least until sometime next year).

As for cooling.. two fans, 1 in , 1 out? Might work, but not at that size (go with the Antec Lanboy or Sonata, something with 120mm's). Newegg.com has a decent case selection tool, same with NCIX.com to check out their cases in the system builder tool.

HTH.
