I've used them a few times. Works pretty well. I like to download them before long plane rides so I don't have to take a DVD with me. Takes between 500 meg and 1 gig, depending on the quality of the movie. One annoying thing is that, while you have 30 days to watch, once you start watching, you only have 24 hours.

I have an old laptop (98SE) that I travel with. It is not networked with anything. Can I d/l the movie on my main system (cable) and install the software on my laptop (then watch the movie on the plane flight -- off a jump drive) ?
Or is this too much of a kludge ?

Just try it...it's only $.99. If it doesn't work then no big deal. On the other hand you could just email their support dept or maybe even look to see if they have a FAQ with a generic answer to your question.

I think you have to be running the latest version of windows media player, and I think there is a movie link license that has to be downloaded to the player. I don't think it will work on a 98 machine but I'm not sure. but recently I installed XP on a grossly underpowered laptop and turned all the "fancy" crap off and it works great (XP that is) then I just download the movies on that laptop from my network and it runs great.
