BTW, one of my plans is to implement exactly the same benchmarking method for Windows... but I never have time to get anything done. (It doesn't help that I don't have Windows at home, apart from W7 on an old barely usable laptop.)

You can use Windows for free without a license/key. It just disables some functions/abilities which are all mostly personal settings/preferences type things and leaves a permanent watermark on the bottom right corner telling you to activate.
