no. theres no way the hardware can be good enough in this thing to make it work well. Just the hardware in the ipad 2 costs $375. For this company to make money off of this 100 tablet that means the hardware couldnt cost more then $75.

aka. the hardware is going to suck ass, bad screen, bad battery, etc.

I don't see this offered via any normal vendors, but a number China sources have it for the same price, so guessing, not hot, not a deal.

Amazon has something similar, if not the same, for $164.99, and the reviews (there's only 2) laud the capacitive touch screen. Is that even the same device?

it might not be THAT bad. the screen is 800x480 so its much cheaper than an ipad screen. the casing is much much cheapre to make.

but in the end companies can build portable dvd players with 7" screens and sell them for $70 retail.

the only main difference between this and a portable dvd player is a cpu, and 4gb of flash. and not having an optical drive at all , plus having a capacitive touch layer. i think if a dvd player can go for $70 , this can go for $100 and have the same sort of profit margins.

No one in their right mind is gonna think a $100 tablet will operate like a $500 one.

If you realize the limitations this may be a good buy for someone.
