What is an uplink? I go into work (2nd day) and my boss asks me a few questions about my laptop and then asks me if I have an uplink.....

The best I can figure is he is talking about an ethernet port, or maybe an rs-232(serial) port.

Reminds me of my dad when i went to help him look for a computer.

He kept saying barebones as in 'cheap.' instead of what it really means, no HD cpu ect.

So, i decided to stay out of this, for kicks, he is saying "i want something barebones" and the salesman points to some random cheap barebones minitower, and then my father asked him if it had XP Home or Pro on it
