Fry's in Houston has 200GB Maxtor HD's 7200RPM 8MB Cache in retail box for $99
I picked up 4
Guy said there was no limit. They had 90 in stock yesterday when I went. 🙂

Fifty cents per gigabyte. That's pretty standard today. Not a particularly amazing deal, but not bad either since it's free of rebate scams.

For anyone that would like a longer warranty, Outpost has a Seagate 300gb ATA-100 drive for $130AR. http://shop2.outpost.com/product/4280824?

Credit goes to undefined at FW. I ordered yesterday along with a PVR-150, got it today, and couldn't be happier with the setup. I figure that if a lot of the major manufacturers are cutting their 3 and 5 year warranties to 1 year, there has to be some significant cost they're absorbing in warranty claims (decline in production quality is one of the possibilities here). The Seagate is really quiet, too. I added it to a system with two case fans and a WD 80 gig, and didn't raise the noise level at all. I can still hear the WD but the Seagate is inaudible.
