98SE temp file association

Is there any way to track the association between a temp file and its parent program. I've got an errant program that just will not clean up after itself. I'd like to track down which one is having the issues. I have started going through the win.ini and startup menues and turn everything off.

Before you go messing around with your win.ini file, your better option would be to test each app and see what the temp files are doing. If they're growing with a certain app running, try and un-install that particular app and see if your temp file problems disappear.

Look for Filemon. You can check out file access in real-time.

Thanks a bunch. Its sometging that is starting up with the computer. I don't have anything in the win.ini file that is loading up and didn't want to go monkeying around in the registry. But that program should give me the info I need. I'll try it in a week when I get back from my meetings in Dallas.
