9800XT pic. She's a beauty.

Looks wicked!! But that fan looks like it will be pretty loud. Hope not.

GM

I'm pretty sure they went to a larger fan to keep the noise low as possible.

What a beauty. I almost regret getting a 9800 pro just on the basis of looks 🙂...Although I like the 9800 Pro design as well. Oh well...

It is a great looking card but let's face it, 99% of the time you're not going to see the top of your video card. I'm sure it will be a great performer but I don't think the cost will justify the performance. Wonder how many current 9800 owners will be able to o/c their cards to the levels the XT is running at in default?

Yeah, sadly. The only thing we can/could hope for would be better core ocing and possibly...just possibly, 2.5 ram.

Yea, I mean, you guys keep on talking about how a 9800 Pro overclocked can match the 9800 XT, but how about a 9800 XT overclocked? I wouldn't go saying all that quite yet. Yes, a 9800 Pro overclocked looks to be exactly what a stock 9800 XT is, but let's see its overclocking ability, too.

That looks very suspiciously like the nVidia "Dusbuster" solution on the 5800 Ultra. Im sure it's pretty quiet though. Anyone notice that the power plug on the card has been upgraded to 12v from 5v?
