9800pro - hynix memory or samsung memory?

Have an opportunity to purchase a 9800 pro. one has hynix memory, the other has samsung...

I've heard good things about ati cards with samsung memory... but I've heard that hynix
can be better in general.

I know there are some opinions out there... what do you guys think?

I've got a 9800NP flashed to a pro and the 3.3ns Samsung memory runs all the way up to 391 with RAMSinks on it. I haven't heard anything about Hynix memory.

Samsung is about 2x the quality of Hynix and Infineon. Overclocks far better. No brainer.:beer:

How can you check the ram on the board to see what kind it is?

Just look on the memory chips. It'll have it printed on them.

hy5du283222 = hynix memory, which is what is on my 9800 pro. 🙁 still hauls ass though, i aint complaining.
