9800pro getting 4fps on high in bf2

They don't cater to most people, they cater to enthusiasts who might buy a new video card to play one game.
 
I'm playing BF2 with a 9800pro (3ghz, 2gb ram). At 1024x768 with everything at medium and AA at 4x it runs very smooth. I'm pretty satisfied. I changed all the settings to high and maxed out the AA but even at 1024x768 I was only getting about 20fps
