9800pro choppy on Pro Race Driver

I have a 9800pro and for some reason when I play Codemasters Pro Race driver I get a lot of chop, like freezes for a fraction of a second. I tried running Omega's drivers and that didn't help, I am running extra cooling around it just in case, although I have not put AS3 on it yet.

I get the chop with fast writes or without, I even tried clocking it up a bit and still get it.

I am running a 2100+ oc'd to 2.2 and 256 of Buffalo with the system at a 200mhz FSB.

Anyone have any suggestions? Is it possible that the smaller cache on the 2100 is killing me for some reason? I ask this simply because my roomate with a TI4200 and a barton with a gig of memory runs this like a champ.

Any hints are appreciated.

Rogodin,

I have all of my messenger programs, aeti and anti-viruses all turned off so if there is something running I am not sure where to nix it, let alone what it may be......I am testing 512 of Ram right now to see if that is helping..

Sandorski,

cool i will try that!!!

Well i ran with 512 on the Ram and it did help.. I think I am bottlenecking at both my ram and my Cache on my chip. Thanks for the input everyone.. looks like I am off to see Marmaduke and pick up some more memory!

Thanks
