i'm looking into buying games like company of heroes, age of empires 3, starcraft II, dawn of war II, guild wars 1 and 2, and a few other rts games and maybe some current mmorpg games. this is probably one of the best mobile video cards around, but what do i expect graphics wise with this card from the list of games i put down? i would like to play these games in high detail.

Care to show up the laptop you speak of? It really depends on the processor too. Id never recommend a fast video card paired with a low CPU. The other way around is fine because you can lower graphic settings.

The 2.3GHz Dual-Core P8400 should be plenty sufficient to handle the 9800M GTS. The games you listed will run well at high detail. However, if you want to run the latest games at high detail on a laptop (Supreme Commander, Crysis), you'll need something more powerful, either the 4850M laptops coming out soon, or, even better, an SLI setup. But that's going to cost you well into the $2,000 range.
