9800GTX has 512-bit bus mistake

EDIT: well the core says G92 right on it so the following chart has at least one spec wrong.

I for one have NOT been looking forward to the next few releases from nvidia because I was under the impression that the 9800GTX was going to have a 256-bit bus, which would have limited it's performance to not much better than an 8800GTS 512mb OC.

This chart lists the card with a 512-bit bus. If this is true, this card could be a real killer, like it could actually run Crysis at 1680x1050 with all the settings maxed out.

Can anyone confirm or deny this new spec?

I dunno I was just reviewing those numbers and those numbers are basically all different than any other specs I've seen posted for the 9800GTX.

The core is called G100 not G92.

Also pictures of the actual board show that it is far beefier than even an 8800Ultra, and thus far beefier than it would need to be merely an 8800GTS overclock.

If they put extra chips on the back, that's the ONLY way it could have a 512-bit bus. They didn't, so it doesn't.

Looks like that was just an old speculation of what the card "might" be.

It clearly shows a 512 bus which is 256x2.

that is getting the 9800gx2 confused with the 9800gtx. 9800gtx is only 256 bit bus, 9800gx2 is, as mentioned, 2 cards which each have a 256 bit bus. unfortunately, we can't add them together...

Yep you're right they don't show the gtx on that graph.

that chart also shows is as 55nm, DX10.1 and with GDDR4 memory....none of that is correct.
