9800GTX for 40$ a good deal?

saw a hd4870 for 55 new on sale last week. this price is too high for an oldie.

gts250 = a 1gb 9800gtx+, a regular 9800gtx is slower

Speeds are as follows.

8800gtx,9800gtx 512mb, 1gb 9800gtx+, gts250 1gb, 4850, 4870 512mb(55$), gtx260 (192 core)

GTX 260 192 is slower than 4870...............dont you remember that nvidia came out with the 216 specifically to combat the 4870?

Got it, and i flashed it to 9800GTX speeds . So now the only difference is 65nm vs 55......but who cares since its just as fast
