9800 Pro

I'm buying a new system with an AMD 3200+ 64 with a gig of DDR400, and I don't know what type of graphics card I should get. I was planning on getting a 9800 pro from all the good things I've heard from them. What type of 9800 pro do you think I should get?

Or do you think I should get a different card?

I think you should get a PowerColor 9800 SE with a 256-bit memory interface, and softmod it to a 9800 Pro. If you don't want to bother with that, then get the cheapest one with a respectable name (usually PwerColor or Sapphire). However, whatever you do, make sure it has a 256-bit memory interface.

How easy it is to softmod the card? Do you have a link, or is it simple enough for you to tell me how?

Softmod Guide. Its there, and also at Rojakpot. Its pretty easy, but success is not guaranteed (just read the Newegg reviews for the card for more info). Also, you may need to change the cooling.
