Hey guys, when I use the video out on my video card to my tv, everything shows up on the tv. But when i play a video, you see everything exept the video. The media player window is just blank on the tv. I've tried diffrent media players and its all the same. the things ive tried was changine the refresh rate on the tv, changing the color to 16 and 8 bits, and changing the resolution. It deosn't make any sense to me cause ive never had this problem with my old nvida card and tv. thanks for you help.

right click on desktop
go to properties
hit the settings tab
go to advanced
hit displays
set the display you want to see the video on as primary.

these directions may vary depending on what driver you use... im using omega,

well, i see the video on my moniter, just not on my tv. the desktop shows up on the tv. I can see the media player window on the tv too, just inside the window is just blank. everything else shows up on the tv.

i understand your problem...

did you try the solution? or is the solution specific to only my kind of drivers?

since the tv is set as secondary, your computer doesn't send the video part of your desktop to it.

hey, sorry about that, i thought you misunderstood my question. i tried it and it worked, which kind of pisses me off because it only sends the video feed to one display. I know on nvida cards, it sends it to both displays. this is the first time that ive been disappointed in my ati card.

cool

we had the same problem just last night with some friends. watching a movie, and we didn't have a dvd player, and we were watching the movie on a projector. so we hooked up someone's computer to it. took us an hour to figure it out 🙂
