Wee bit of a problem to pick your brains. Got the newegg sapphire 9800 pro oem today in the mail, popped it onto my kt7/duron 600 (oc to 850) as the 2600+ and nf7-s have not arrived yet to play with it. have a geforce2 mx in currently which works. when i put the 9800 pro in i do not get any video display at all whereas with the geforce2 mx i get a signal no problem.
stuff i've already done, upgraded to latest via 4in1 chipset, changed bios settings to default, switched agp to 4x, after all that failed, reflashed bios to the latest version(some version in 2002)
Thought it would be worthwhile to post here for other ideas while i continue to search for answers. Hopefully, the card isnt dead.. the ati fan on the card does spin on powerup though. any ideas?

yes the molex connector is plugged in. the ati fan spins though i guess it could be drawing fan power from the agp slot.

edit- tested it out, fan does not spin with molex connector and not plugged into agp slot. fan does spin when plugged into agp slot and with molex plugged in. tested with the molex splitter provided with card and with a cd rom molex connector that i know works for certain.

so...you can see the bios with the 9800 pro card installed? If not, you'll want to try one of the other two outputs on the video card.

If neither of those work. RMA 🙂

(a screen would come up saying the external power cable is not plugged in and tell you to plug it in before it hurts you)
