9800 Price Cuts?

I'm lookin at a new desktop for grad school:

athlon 64 3400+
1.5-2gigs ram
nVidia nForce3 Audio

and was lookin at the 9800 Pro 256mb video card....

2 things now...

First, do i really need the 256 or would the 128 be ok...i'm lookin for it to be able to game with for 3 yrs about and then upgrade...

Second...How soon before you start to see price breaks on the 9800's now that nVidia and ATI both released the next round of cards? I'm not gonna wait a couple months, but wouldn't mind waiting a couple weeks.
 
What you definitely need is to look at the forum index, kuz this Deal is headed south in my book of Hotness!
 
128mb vs. 256mb difference is nothing as far as gaming goes.... as far as price... check out compgeeks.com frequently and buy one of their ~$130 refurbs when they are available, but they GO FAST....
