9800 GT thinks it's a 9800 GX2?

First post, please don't be too harsh.

Alright, I'll get straight to the point. I have a BFG 9800 GT OC+, XFX nForce 680i LT SLI, and an C2D E8400. I recently got a second BFG 9800 GT OC+ for SLI. I put it in, connected the power and SLI bridge, and everything was fine. However, when I booted into Windows, I didn't get a SLI Capable system message, and instead Welcome Center says I have a 9800 GX2. This wouldn't be so odd if I hadn't read tutorials online, since a 9800 GX2 is basically 2 9800 GTs in a single card solution. Confused, I shut down, and took out the old card and put the new card in the primary slot. Strangely though, Windows still says its a 9800 GX2. What's going on? Help is appreciated.

The only problem with that is I even reinstalled Windows to see if it was a driver problem, but after installing drivers and restarting, it still says it is a 9800 GX2.
