can not load windows 98 math coprossor needed?chaintec soc A motherboard ct7aj2e apolo kt133a,1000mhz athlon .any ideas why this error comes up.fresh install. thanks mike

Maybe an interrupt conflict on IRQ 13.

Could be a DMA thing, but I don't remember the details.

the geeks must've removed the math-co/FPU from the die of the CPU...those sneaky tards.

in dev man., check if under system dev/prop/numeric data proc/settings tab/ always use coprocessor checked

To add to what's been said, within the bios on some mobos are options for turning different CPU options (cache, etc) on or off. Might want to reset your CMOS and start from scratch.

But, being that you bought a used CPU from some geeks, it might be hosed. Is the CPU unlocked (bridges closed)? Maybe it's been thru some extreme OCing and its Kentucky Fried Extra Crispy. :Q

i will try another cpu because i cant even load the operating system.chip may just be bad
