I got a question... we're kinda "testing" out a 98 s-10 truck before we buy it (we've been with the dealer for a long time and they let us)
originally the truck wasn't makin any noises...
NOW, while driving tonight, it's making a ping ping ping (metal tapping against metal) but only when you shift it into first and let the clutch out (pretty much only when the clutch is out)
The damn thing only has 47,000 miles on it, and it's a manual transmission.. what could be wrong with it? It doesn't make the noise in reverse, only in 1-5 gear...
It's not the engine, because you can give it gas and it wont make the noise, only when you put it in first and let the clutch out and it starts moving does it make the noise...
it's really really loud too...
any ideas?
