I was witnessing a guy at the local shop set-up a NF7-S (new rev) board with a ATI 9700 Pro and the computer wouldn't even boot.
put the 9700 Pro in an MSI 845PE and it worked perfect.
freaks me out.. I guess the NF7 has some anomalies with that video card..

thanx a lot Noid, i checked and made sure the settings was at 66mhz and 1.5V, but i havent tried the advanced features yet. i'm sure the power connector is on becuase i can boot into windows just fine about 90% of the time. also how do i do a safe boot and is it OK to use the drivers on ATI's site instead of the CD??
Your question has already been answered, but I was going to say no.. the problem you are having is different than the one I saw... the combination of the 2 wouldn't even boot at all. I was just tellin you that I have witnessed a problem between these 2.
