9700np: PowerColor or ATI? What do you think?

I can get the PowerColor for $208 shipped or the "OEM powered by ATI"[?] from mwave for $219 shipped.

Experience here will tell.

umm, the oem power3d by ati is not a 1st ati card, its a 3rd party ati card. so it could be a powercolour also

I think i'd go with "built by ATI".
I just had a bad experience with a Sapphire ATI RADEON 9700 ATLANTIS PRO ULTIMATE. I'm getting genuine ATI next time. I don't want to take a chance.

$220 is getting awfully close to the higher-clocked $245 9800. As long as you buy the card from a reputable reseller (AccuPC seems to have very good ratings), you shouldn't have any trouble with warranty service (I assume both come with a one year warranty). I don't think either will be less reliable than the other, but I have no experience with either card--maybe look for reviews to see how the HSF is attached to each card?

my power color 9000 pro 128mb is pretty good imo, i got core from 275 to 320 perfectly stable, ive had no bad eperiences, besides, it came with a really cool heatsink.

Was it retail or oem?
