Starting to get nervous here. I haven't had these types of problems for years. But I've been using this ATI Radeon 9700 Pro for a few days now and have experienced the following:
1 Crash
1 System Freeze (Needed a Reboot)
1 Weird case where I couldn't play any multi-media files (avi/mpeg/asf/etc) and had to relog to get it working again.
I'm running the latest drivers. I'd tried using those Omega drivers for a bit but they'd seemed a bit slower in other areas but I may go back to them. I've disabled Fast AGP Writes in my bios. I did this after that first crash. Thinking of perhaps moving the slider under troubleshooting to the left one and see if that helps. Also going to upgrade my system bios if there is a new one available.
You guys know anything else that might be causing this instability?
