Great deal! I'm a little rebate-shy myself these days, but when I was more bold, I did get my rebates from TD on some X25-M G2 drives fairly promptly. (I opted for the fast-rebate option, cost me 10% ($2), but I got them back quickly.)

Edit: Even though they were SATA2 only, those X25-M G2s took a licking and kept on ticking. I really wish that Intel had kept them around as a "budget" SSD option, and made them in bigger sizes, on the cheap.

Edit: BTW, forgot to mention, the M500 drives are "blacklisted" in Linux, because the firmware does not properly support "queued TRIM". This doesn't seem to affect Windows. (Though I have a M500 in my main rig with Windows 7 64-bit, and I've seen some weirdness too - corrupted / truncated downloads, etc.)

Man, I'm still using an old 80gb x25m g2 in my work computer. Those things were way ahead of their time...it was tough for me to spring for the m4's a few years ago in fact, intel did a fantastic job of building value in their ssd's bitd.
