Hi.. I m using a diamond 9600xt video card..
I ran 3dmark 2003 and it gave me 2400..
i Think it is extreamly lower than other people...
when i run 2005 one it gives me about 1500 which i think it is normal but it looks like something is wrong for 3dmark 2003..
could this be a normal score or something is wrong??
any reply appreciated.

Yeah, 2400 is a bad score.

I have:

P4 1.6 w\ a Willamette Core
Intel Motherboard w\ 845 chipset
512MB pc133 ram
Powercolor 9600XT

and I usually get an average around 3400 mark @ 1024x768 resolution w\ default settings.

I don't use 3dMark05 at all, but it would be weird that one benchmark would be normal when another isn't. . .

What drivers are you using?

Very strange I get 4200 at (526/648) in 3Dmark03 and 1619 in 05

Try running it again and make sure you set your driver to application preference. Maybe you had some AA and AF on when you got the 2400.

Good luck

If your games work fine - hey no problem.

I would just try 3dmark03 again but make sure you don't have any AA or AF turned on in the driver control panel.

Anti -Aliasing and Anisotropic Filtering Right click on your desktop / hit Properties / select Settings / hit Advanced / Select the Direct 3D tab / Make sure Application Preference is checked for both AA and AF. By default the free version of 3dmark 03 runs without those features enabled. However if they are enabled in the driver control panel they will knock you performance down. My theory is its possible you somehow had it enabled for 3dmark 03 but not 05 where your score was right on.

I also tried some omega drivers once but they didn't work out for me. My problem was that i installed the omega drivers over the ATI drivers and something went wrong there. So you may want to consider getting the driver fixed up depending on how u installed it.
