For those of you who missed out on this deal...I was fortunate enough to purchase one locally.

Unfortunately it was an impulse buy and I opened the box and now I want to return it BUT CompUSA wants a 15% restocking fee.

I have NOT scratched off the code for HalfLife2 so it's still valid for anyone. There is a silver scratch surface to reveal code, which hasn' been scratched off

Here's the deal. My final purchase price was $188 and change (after $20.00 instant rebate) PLUS a $30.00 mail-in rebate. If I were to return it to CompUSA it I would loose roughly about $29.00.

Would anyone be willing to purchase this from me for $150.00 plus ACTUAL (no markup)[/] shipping cost. You will get everything. The card, box, CDs, AND the HL2 (not used/not claimed) voucher PLUS my receipt. I[/] will keep the $30.00 mail-in rebate so I can at least get that back.

These cards with coupons will cost so much less by the time October 2004 rolls around.

The people who bought them, would you have done so had you known about September 24, 2004 HL2 date?
On the other hand, maybe it's just a rumor and it will come out earlier.

its still one of the best deals out. Non-pro 9800s being another one (hard to find but great if you can get one for $200)

If it's not coming out until September, I'd rather spent money on the best ~$80 card I can get now and then upgrade to a 9800 series card in the fall. I might do it too... I haven't opened this card yet as I wait for a better deal (as the rest of my parts aren't here yet).
