9600se???

Is this card good enough for non-first person games? Eg. Neverwinter Nights at higher resolutions, 1280/1024.

Nah get either a 9500np/pro, 9600 Pro/XT if you wanna run NWN cranked. It may run it, but as I remember NWN would not run on my 9200 good AT ALL at that res, and the 9600SE is only one step up.

What about a little lower resolution? Like 1024/768 @ higher refresh rate like 80?

I'm asking because I already bought 9600se and I'm debating if I should return it for the 9600XT. I would have to pay a restocking charge of 15% and $70 difference.

9600SE is too slow. A regular 9600 would probably be OK. 9600XT would be the ticket.

9600se is so bad. next time check with us before you make an impulse buy. if your thinking about the 9600xt, take a loot at the nvidia 5900se/non ultra's. smae price rande(180/190) and it spanks it.

Good stuff. 9600XT is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than the 9600SE.

9600SE would have been a waste of money. You would have been looking to buy a better card in a few months. Better to spend a little more now and get a decent card that?s going to last a while.
