I just picked up a 4200 for 79 bucks, also, to tide me over til the 9800 pro drops to within range of the common dude. At this point, it's either the mortgage or a video card. The mortgage wins by a nose. :(

So you pay $120 for a Ti4200 that will overclock to Ti4400 speeds if you're lucky... or $145 for a Ti4200 that overclocks higher than Ti4600 speeds... or a 9600 pro for $165 that overclocks to almost 9700 non pro speeds... hmmmmm... I'll still trade my Ti4200 @ > Ti4600 speeds for a 9600 Pro. Any takeres?

Uh..if you look at reviews, just pretty much any ti4200 will overclock past ti4400 speeds. I paid $130 for mine (only cost that much cause I needed one with vivo) and the core will hit ti4600 speeds, and the memory will hit just over 600mhz. That said, I'd still take a 9600pro if someone would trade it for my ti4200 :)

My Ti4200 is at 325/650... I'll still trade it for a 9600 Pro. As long as it's not one of those crappy 400/400 Powercolors.

With AA and AF on, the 9600 Pro will toast the Ti4200.

so? try running aa and af in games that HAVE dx9 capabilites with the 9600 pro. it will be a powerpoint presentation.... id rather have a 4200 any day...

The 4200 has NO DX9 capabilities, and is slower to boot. Do you like to watch powerpoint presentations or the card draw every polygon individually?
