My desktop is perfectly fine, however when i run any game the image is very dark. The tv out shows a much brighter image on my games than my monitor does. I am using the Catalyst 3.1 Drivers/Control Panel also. The control panel doesnt work, nor do any 3rd party programs like powerstrip.

Any ideas?

The Game Gamma control panel will work for Direct3D games and you need to use something like RivaTuner for OpenGL games.

Unfortunately the control panel doesnt seem to work in any D3D game, and ill have to dig up some game to try to run in OGL mode to test rivatuner... which also doesnt affect D3d games.

This is a little dissapointing, if the game doesnt have a way to adjust the gamma/brightness then i am unable to do anything about it.

Not that I'm aware of Sickpuppy. If you can find a copy of raid-on you can get the files from it. Thats where I got them from. Haven't seen it in quite some time though. I used it back when I had my original radeon64. I understand the reluctance, but I assure you the files are legit. Read this thread it may put your mind at ease:

Or it may not. It's up to you.

*edit* Notice my post count there. If the files give you problems you can slander my name there. ; ) *edit*

Go get Rage3D Tweakv3.8. It has hotkeys that allow you to adjust contrast, gamma and brightness along with a couple of other things on the fly while in a game or on the desktop. I've never really liked the program itself as much as I used to like Riva Tuner, but I love this feature. Medal of Honor looks so much better using this as in game it only has gamma adjustment, and always seemed to be horribly low on contrast. Look for this setting under the Game Utility functions.

Yes it does. It'll work on any DIrect3D game that doesn't control the gamma by itself. However it won't work on games like UT2003 because they do control the gamma themselves.
