What games come with the retail version? This might finally replace my geforce2mx... I may finally play Morrowind.

My box said 128 bit 64mb on the printed literature on the back of the box............
My card was 128mb......256 bit as on the sticker on the side of the "retail" box
The 128mb is the one you need.

Seems like a good deal if it works, but a pretty bad one if it doesn't.

Nice.....................if they are the " L shaped boards " like mine...go for it.
I am so stoked about my card. Was as easy as installing drivers with the omega drivers. No hacking by me needed. Was all automatic. Look up above at my posted results. Good luck guys!

For those who missed out, connect3d is selling the card direct from their website for 149. LINK
Thanks to Leonowski for this find.

My card just arrived (I was one of the nuts who ordered from Enet, $133 shipped). I had been prepared for dissapointment because the only other person that ordered from Enet and posted about it here said he did not get the "L" shaped memory card that was in the picture. Well, let me just say this, the price was fantastic, shipping was free, they shipped the same day I ordered, and I got it in 2 days. But most important, it IS IN FACT the "L" shaped "modable" card (exactly same as picture on their website)! I was very psyched when I saw it, but still worried it would not mod. Well don't you know, the softmod worked flawlessly (latest brand new Omega Drivers). Absolutely no artifacts. 3DMark2003 score went from 2659 before to 4151 after mod (with no overclocking). I know enet has horrible reseller ratings and reviews, but this worked out perfectly for me and I could not be happier with enet. Thanks again OP!

This is definitely HOT. Only other confirmed place to get this card (that I know of) is the above mentioned direct from Connect3D site and you must pay $149+12ship=$161.

My card also just arrived from enet.
I was pleased to see the L shaped memory as well. Then when I installed the Omega drivers and the system would crash (windows recovered from a "device failure" error message) and I would be left with 4 bit 640x480 picture and windows not giving any driver information....
So I tried the wizzard's drivers. They installed without any complaints, but my 3DMARK03 score was only 2650. So I downloaded rivatuner and it says that I have 256bit but only 4 pipelines. Did the Omega drivers not work for anyone else? Any suggestions?

Just wrote connect3d, this is what i got.

Michael,
Our cards are not in the L configuration. Hopefully this helps you out!!

Hi,

I was considering ordering from your site, but I need to know if the memory chips are in the "L" configuration if you know what I mean.

I contacted Enet, and the sales guy stated that they are shipping cards with the L configuration. I took the plunge and ordered it. Will post with details when it comes.

Just got mine in right now - it is L-shaped. I will post results later. Crossing my fingers!

FAQ
Q: What kind of card do I have to buy?
A: You need a Radeon 9500 Non-pro (NP) 128MB on a 9700 PCB. The 9700 pcb has 2 chips of RAM on top and 2 chips on the right of the GPU (L-shaped). The new 9500 pro pcb has 4 chips all on top of the GPU in a straight line.

9500np128MB RED PCB 4 pipes 256bit Turns into 9700 NP
9500np128MB BLACK PCB 4 pipes 128 bit Turns into 9500 PRO
9500np 64MB 4 pipes 128 bit Turns into 9500 PRO
9500 pro 8 pipes 128 bit Can not be modded

Got the $133 Sapphire white box 9500 from enetshoponline.com ($144 after tax).

Black board with the L shaped memory chip pattern (specifically asked for it when placing the order).

The Omega softmod worked fine for a 4421 non-oc'd 2003 3DMarks score.

Oc'd the sucker to 392 core/311 mem for a 5574 2003 3DMarks score with very, very minor artifacts.

I be happy!

If you see any artifacts at all from overclocking (they can be caused by core or memory), I strongly (let me say that again, STRONGLY) suggest you back the settings down to a point at which you don't see artifacts, and then drop another 5Mhz on top of that. You'll get artifacts from the core because it needs more voltage at that speed, and you'll get artifacts from the memory because they've reached their limit (which you can also increase with more voltage). I've seen more than one Radeon have the memory burn out or just start artifacting all the time because it was run too high.
