WTF?

There is a bigger difference between a 9500PRO and 9700PRO, than there is between a GF4 TI 4200 and a 9700PRO? You need to pass the blunt; I want some of that hallucination.

Would it be a good upgrade from a GF4TI4200 64MB to a 9700 Pro???

LMK

I went from a leadtech 4400 128 to a 9700P and the difference was obvious.

Halo has the strangest performance curve of any game I've played. Some times it's down right beautiful and quick, others times it looks it's age and more.

The 9700 and the 9500 Radeons were released pretty much at the same time. Maybe you were just not paying attention then but A LOT of people were looking at the 9500 because it was a lot cheaper and offered really good performance. The 8500(275/275 clock) was already nipping at the heels of the Nvidia GF4 Ti series with improved Catalyst drivers. The 9500 offered the best price/performance of any video card then. Even today, it would be a better value than a 9600XT or am NVIDIA 5700ultra.
