i have an amd processor on an MSI, so i have to think i have to install the newest AGP drivers.

"Install AGP drivers for non-Intel Chipset Based Motherboards."

The manual tells me to go into the device manager and under "System devices" to look for an AGP driver, which i can update from there -- but i look under "system devices" and i don't see anything for AGP... what to do?

thanks in advance

What chipset you should already have the agp drivers installed if you had installed the chipset drivers for the motherboard.

i'm really nervous right now...
i booted up the PC and as soon as i type in the password for windows and i see the desktop for a second or two, the PC restarts automatically....

What's going on? PLEASE help if you have any ideas.

thanks

k7vza mobo with 1.2amd, 512ram, radeon 9500 pro, 2 hds (it says that video card must be connected to 'the' harddrive, but i have two, so maybe its connected to the wrong one? i dont know), 2 cdroms, floppy :: would this much on a 400watt be too much?

crap; i think it might be because i ignored the "Found new hardware wizard" and went straight to installing from an exe of drivers for 9500 pro i got from ati.com -- could this be it?

Start windows in safe mode F8 at boot up just keep tapping it. If you get to the safe mode desktop. Then uninstall the video drivers from the add remove programs in control panel. Restart and then it should have the found new hardware wizard. Select manual and browse to c:\ati\support\w2k-wxp....... Then windows should find the driver inf and install.
