9500 Pro --> 9800 Pro Worth the upgrade?

No. 9500 Pro was a gift to the market. Hell I wanted one for ages but never got my hands on one 🙁

You should hold on to it until the next generation cards are out. It was well worth what you paid for it. Get the most out of that card before upgrading to something more worthwhile, such as R420 or NV40.

there a reason you feel a need to upgrade the 9500 pro?

No, it isn't really necessary I guess. The last time I upgraded after a year there was a huge performance jump. I'm kinda shocked there isn't a bigger performance delta between these cards, and between models by the same chipset maker in general. This card wasn't top of the line when I bought it (9500 Pro) but it is still performing well. I'm not complaining, just surprised. It looks like chipset makers are doing tiny jumps in performance for big bux. Guess I'll wait. Thanks to all for the advice.

dont upgrade man.....wait till the new stuff arrives....9500pro is sooo sweet, im so greatful i got my hands on one for 130 quid!!! plays any mofo game u throw at it, the 9800 i think is just pointless, i think most high end cards are pretty pointless because theyre just too powerful for the current games, 100fps plus while nice is excessive.

Looks like 9800 prices have fallen to where 9500 prices were when I bought it over a year ago. Worth it or not?

I love my 9500 Pro and I hope that I do not have consider the upgrade until PCI Express.
