I wouldn't kill the guy, just bust him up. People usually don't remember who their attacker is after they get the crapped knocked out of them. I can understand the state of mind you are in because if anyone ever laid a hand on my mom, they would have a date with a 9mm.

Seriously, assault laws in this country are very serious. In almost all other places, getting punched is no biggie, but here you go down for assault for several years. So if they get caught they will be punished severely considering we are only talking about pulling hair and a few punches here and there with no permanent injuries I hope.
Now if you go after them, and they kill you, they would get off on self-defense, considering that you posted here that you want to kill someone.
Now if you think them getting away with punching your mom sucks, imagine how much them getting away with blowing your brains out is going to suck.

I could get you the name etc. if you had the entire plate, but the state of mind you're in you would do nothing but make it worse than what it is right now.
Let the police do their job - you should be able to obtain a police report tomorrow and possibly names if they are arrested. Your mom does have that right to obtain one. Since your mom's glasses were broken they can also be made to paid for them as well.
Also this van could have been stolen and if you had the names etc. you could be after the wrong person(s). Then you would be in a lot of trouble.
If you were there when this happen and been standing by when the police ran the plate you would have heard the name of the owner of the vehicle and you would have known also if it was stolen.

Could I get you the info? Probably, in a day or two, I could. Will I? No. You have not shown yourself to be a person of repect nor have you shown any self control. I would rather not create a murder by giving you the information, whether it be their murder or yours. Stop asking for the information, I highly doubt anyone will give it to you.
I kinda agree, your mom got punched in the face cause your sister was a dumbass, she is lucky she didn't end up getting shot in the face. Its one thing to protect yourself but its another thing to try and confront them like she did. I figure it would have been smarter to just try and get a good look at the plate instead of trying to get killed. If the cops were not there to get the plate you would have next to nothing to catch them with.

I often feel that I was born 200 years too late. I long for the simpler days of "Frontier Justice" where if you caught scumbags like these people, red-handed, you simply threw a rope over the nearest tree branch, hung their asses and let the vultures take care of the bodies. :|

About the ONLY thing I admire about the Arab world is their way of dealing with thieves. They cut off whatever hand was holding the stolen goods when the thief got caught. They CUT THE DAMN HAND CLEAN OFF!!! No operation, no sterlization; they hack it off w/a rusty pocketknife if that's all that is available at the time. Way to go!~

I'M THE ONE advocating violence in this particular case, however, I was saying your defense of what happens in Arab countries WAS STUPID because their system is STUPID. they will cut off your hand for ANY shoplifting (assault or not). in the arab world, assault is not a requirement for thieves to get their hands cut off. so i don't see the difference either, except that people like children more than older people.
Its amazing to see all the people that are willing to take the life, or the limb of another human being on here. Could you live with yourself? These people made a mistake yes, and they should be punished. But to chop off a limb, to permanently maim someone, or worse, kill them, for a mistake that did not include the same? Could you do that, could you show that persons family why they desired such a horrid punishment? Could you tell that persons sister, aunt, grandma, why they deserved death, or why they had to lose a hand? Could you face those facts yourself? If your uncle came home without a hand one day, would you agree with the punishments? Jail time and a fine allows for these people to correct the mistakes and never do them again, while at the same time being punished.
Too many of you are too willing to dole out punishments left and right and never think about others that are involved.

I can almost empathize w/chrisjor on this one; I grew up in a very bad neighborhood, where people had threatened to harm MY mother. The only way to prevent it from happening was to immediately and decisively beat the living crap out of the person who uttered the threat. It was a respect thing. LIttle old ladies are easy-prey for scumbags like these people. They don't fight back. :| You don't see them trying to mug some dude that's 6'1"/220 pounds as he carries that Best Buy bag down the street, do you?
