Own one or drove one? How are they? Any major engine problems? My friend had one and I liked it. Looks really good and it's in my budget. So is there anything I should know about this car? Thanks!

The SE Probes have a 4 cylinder which is kind of weak in comparison to the 6 banger in the GT. I would look for the 6 cylinder models, you'll be wishing you did if you get the 4 cylinder.

Any engine probs? I'm not looking to race it. I'm gonna slam it with sounds. That's it. Not gonna race it or anything. Just need transportation.

I'd still get the GT. I drove a friends non-GT one time...

talk about no power. felt like I was taking off in 3rd gear in my firebird. :disgust: :|

They're ok until they break. You better have plenty of cash when they do. Parts are outrageous.

I have owned and driven a '94 Probe GT for 2 yrs now, love it. Of course it hasn't broke yet! This car has put the fun back it driving for me. Of course the V6 is a big part of it. I wouldn't own the 4 banger. We test drove a 94' SE, pretty unspectular in the acceleration department and it even felt smaller inside, I am 6'2" 230lb. Not sure why but the GT seems to have more room inside. Of course the back seat is unusable, even my 7yr old can't fit behind me when I drive. If you want a Probe find a GT. BTW, I do not race, just like to know that when I step on the gas the car moves. Helps a lot in traffic, small and manuverable with power, a combination that is hard beat.

also just wanted to share.. for some reason every time I see a probe, it reminds me of an "anal probe". :Q

what a stupid name for a car. :p
