I've read the FAQ's, scanned the forums, and tweaked every setting I can get my hands on. I cannot get my board to run Prime95 stable above 255MHz HTT. I thought it was the CPU, but lowering the 9x multiplier down to 7 or 8x had no effect. CPU-NB, NB-SB, and RAM divider have all been tried.

People often lament this board's inability to go over 274 HTT without a hacked BIOS but I can't even go that high! Am I missing something?

You might try one of the OCW Beta BIOS'es (even though they have some issues of their own)...Personally, I can't seem to get much above 260-263HTT on my board without it refusing to boot (with an official BIOS anyway). It is rather strange that mine seems to crap out before the oft-discussed 274MHz, especially given that I've successfully booted at 300x9 on OCWB1/2 before...

I converted my board into a brick when flashing that BIOS. Doing 1.20 to 1.60 from within Windows was successful with both boards, but the OCW BIOS from DOS killed a board. I don't trust the DOS flash utility any longer.

Hey...take a look at this page that I found on another forum earlier...basically someone states that he was able to get beyond 274 on official BIOS versions by just setting the CPU-NB speed to 200MHz (which apparently has very little performance impact)...it's something to try anyway (I'm going to play around with it a bit later, but I might be limited by my 4x512MB RAM)

show your setup and then we can help.
read This Link has some overclock settings to get you going or at least lead you to it.
have you done any voltmods on it? If not, then your limit is caused by lack of vcore, vdimm, vldt, and vdd. Read this thread, has lots of guides for voltmodding this board.
good luck, and let us know if can help more.
