I know the 939 cpus are brand new, but with the prices soo high they can only be considered hi-end system parts, anyonw know if they have plans to introduce an el cheapo intro model like a 2800 or 3000 if not i'll just go socket 754.

If you're waiting for socket 939 prices to drop, you're going to be waiting for quite awhile. There are more people that have been awaiting the release of socket 939 chips (and the corresponding motherboards) than I care to even think about. You're going to have to build something else to hold you over until socket 939 becomes affordable, if you're using a slower processor, because it will more than likely be around Xmas time before they become affordable.

I kinda figured they would be expensive for a while, but I was also hoping they if they wanted to really give the A64 the big push it needs they would offer an entry level cpu to encourage people to purchase this new technology/Mobo and lock people in before intel's 775 comes out.
Knowing Intel's past they will offer something similar to try and stall people from switching. I think its a huge error for amd to only offer this new socket on the hi-end, but hey what do i know i'm only a consumer LOL. I'll just keep my fingers crossed and see what happens.
