'92 3000GT or a '91 300ZX?

Honestly if it isn't turbo, I would get neither. I had a 300zx 2+2 until some prick rammed into it while it was parked and I loved it, but I went many days thinking, "Damn if only it were turbo..............".

300ZX... no contest... only 3000GT i would consider is 95 and after...

now if it was the 3000GT by TRD... i'd pick that one in a heartbeat... 😀

Why do people love putting Supra parts on things that aren't exactly Supras? 😀 Could definetly lose the batwing too.

That actually is a supra... played around by TRD... its called a TRD 3000GT in japan since the Mitsu 3000GT is called a GTO... and as far as the basket case handle in the back... to each his own. 😀

I was gonna say that's a lot of work why not just use a Supra if you want a Supra look. Didn't look long enough to me though, maybe it's all the body kit crap. They are such long looking cars stock, even my 87. (I prefer the look quite a bit to the compact look, and it definately turns on a dime, MKIII Supras had killer steering.)

Need more info. Is the 3000GT the VR-4? Is the 300zx a twin turbo? 2+2?

In any event, I'd pick the 300zx. Much better looking, and more reliable.

how about here..:
I am selling my integra 94 LS for:

1. 91 MR2 t-top with 150k - $3000
2. 91 300zx t-top with 100k but salvage title - $3500

Both N/A, I don't want the hassle to deal with turbos (I know they are fast) but money issue

What does the 2+2 mean? 😕

The 2+2 means that it's a 2 seater with "2 seats" in the back. Well more or less a half a seat each (they are pretty small although it is possible to get some people back there). It's really a designation given to sports coupes that have back seats ala Toyouta Supra.

I'd be trying to find a 3000GT VR4 for that kind of price.. VR4 kicks ass. It's the only "cheap" car that you can drive around hard in the rain. If you get a lot of rain or snow, AWD/steering rocks.

Well with all due respect to the Z.. the 3000GT is faster... it has more HP and more grip.

however I as well would choose the 300Z.

Hah hah, no kidding I couldn't fit Ally McBeal into the back seat of my Supra. (Not that I would want to)

Porsche 944....oh it's not a choice :disgust:
Wouldn't be fast enough for those two cars. He'd have to go after a 951 (944 Turbo) which would put him around $10K.

Of the two, go for the Nissan. The engine's bulletproof and the car looks better.

I wouldn't touch a used Stealth or Mistu 3000 (same builder, different body cladding). My friend did and ended up replacing the tranny and transfer case on it. He ended up paying around $5K for a used set up that a local race shop was able to track down for him. He sold the car because it was throwing all kinds of codes. He took it to the dealer and they gave him a $7K estimate for replacing a bunch of sensors in the ABS and airbag. Two months after he sold the car, the buyer contacted him to let him know that he was having transmission troubles again.

The Mitsu's have a horribly weak drivetrain. I'd certainly avoid this car. Also, when I drove my friends car I was expecting the car to feel like an import and it didn't. It felt more like a old, crude muscle car. Not very refined for an import.

I also had a friend with a '90 300ZX and that was one tight car. I'd certainly go with the Nissan over a used 3000/Stealth.
