91' Mercury capri~ mods?

I've got a red 91' mercury capri convertible / hard top that i've kept in top condition.... I'm tired of it being really slow compared to the crowd. Does anyone know of anyplace in the Metro-Detroit area where I can get upgrades like full exaust or anything installed? I would really appreciate it 😛
 
Step one - find a good garage

Step two - park Capri in garage

Step three - pick up a car with some balls and mod it

Step four - enjoy capri on sunny days, take fast car everywhere else
 
These are the engines that were available in your car:

1.6L 100 hp I4
1.6L 132 hp I4

I'm afraid with such a small displacement, unless there is a turbo or supercharger kit available for your car (which is highly unlikely), you are SOL as far as mods go. 🙁

If that car is MINT, and I mean MINT, AND you love the car, you could do some kind of engine swap, but that would be $$$.
 
Radeon, I'm not full of $$$ Cars are expensive for my age (18) I got college etc to worry about paying 😉
I always wanted to see my capri with a bigger balls, was just wondering if anyone knew anything about them and upgrades.
 
thanks n8magic... but engine replacment isn't what i'm looking for lol....yeah a turbo kit is availible they built them with them in it, but i have the non-turbo :-\ i'll check out that yahoo group though
