I suggest you make that a separate post. That's truly a phenomenal deal on a very high-quality PSU.

It's PSU madness day at the egg!

Bumping this thread again for the weekend crowd. If you need a high-powered PSU, now's the time.

I was going to get a 550VX for $70ish, but this one doesn't cost a whole lot more than that.. great!

I bought the Rocketfish case from BB 5-6 months ago, and it's been waiting for a good PSU worthy of such a large case. I missed a Corsair 620 that was about the same price as this 850. I'd rather have the modular cables, but I'm not going to be too picky. This should be a MONSTER psu that will handle anyhting I would throw at it. Thanks OP for posting. I received my last corsair rebate no problem, but even so, $20 isn't that large of a rebate to risk.

The Corsair HX1000 is back in stock, but the price has gone up. Now $187.99 after rebate with the code.

had to eat some of my own cooking... getting the 850 since my q6700/p45/2x4850 system is showing 13.25v on the 12v line with the antec 550trio... maybe pulling a bit too much for those 3 wimpy rails... let's see what 70a on one rail does...

I'll get mine tomorrow. I don't really need that much power (yet :D) but at $163 I had to pull the trigger. Even $188 is quite a good price for that PSU.

Modular just means you can unplug cables from PSU block itself, reducing clutter from unused cables.
