Thought this would be a fun topic. Some of my favorite pc memories were those of map making and gun modeling. I haven't really messed with any games since Unreal Tournament 2004, so I think im a little out of the loop to try to mod some of these new titles. Here's a few games I used to design maps for.

Ultimate Doom
Doom 2
Quake 1
Quake 2
Hexen
Descent
Duke Nukem 3D
Rise of the Triad
Jedi Knight
Jedi Knight 2
Unreal Tournament
Unreal Tournament 2004

The only game I made maps for were Doom 2 but man did we have fun with them! I dabbled in maps for Quake but just didn't have the patience for 3D mapbuilding back then :)

Oh crap I completely forgot that I made maps for Warcraft 2 for a completely different game mode that a friend and I came up with. That was fun too.

I tried Descent way back in the day but that had a pretty clunky interface to get what I was imagining. Making maps for Starcraft was entertaining.

More recently done a little on Torchlight, Skyrim & Saint's Row 2, just helping in little ways for others.

I made a couple of crappy Medal of Honor maps and a few for UT'04. Those were the days when you would see Eminem and Santa Claus running around in Quake :D

I would love to get into skyrim texture editing. Every texture in that game needs to be converted to High Res. I have a few texture mods downloaded now, but they only cover so much.

I did a tiny bit of Doom and made quite a few maps for Hexen. Then I produced a few of those "opposing towers" Duke3D maps that were popular on Kali for awhile. (Where there are two forts that are completely separated and the two "teams" of players shot at each other from different windows or towers) One of those was pretty popular for awhile. I then made quite a few Blood maps but I didn't release most of them to the public. After that I spent a ton of time farting around modding Jedi Knight (the original) although I never released anything. I did eventually get laser trip mines working though, I mean really good ones too...there were some buggy efforts out there before me.

Duke Nukem - made huge maps for this, including maps with cars that drove around (binded multiple movers - messy but worked)

Quake 2 - messed around, but didn't get serious about mapping with Id's engine til Doom 3.

Tribes (1999?) - made a mod, maps, scripted, training missions, you name it. The absolutely coolest editor I've ever worked with - you could create maps while other players where actually playing the map you were making... funny as hell to have someone join my server and find turrets flying through the air following them (me moving them in the editor).

UT games, messed around alot, but never released anything.

I made a few WADs for Doom 2, and a few maps for Red Alert.

Some of my Red Alert maps became pretty widespread, mostly because I spent a lot of time making sure all sides had pretty equal opportunities for defense and resources.

I made some Warcraft Two maps that my friends at the time thought were really cool. Otherwise haven't done anything.

Couple of maps for Descent.
Map for a Quake Chess Mod - unique idea which didn't pan out so I modified the map for a single player map.
A few levels for Quake 2.
Disposable Heroes mod for Quake 2 [Level Design]
Briefly helped create levels for Star Wars Quake: The Call of the Force - crashed and burn before it could get off the ground.

I found quake/quake 2 level design to be too restrictive - I wanted to create the same types of levels you see in today's games. I'd like to get back into level design but honestly don't have the patience or time right now :(

I started off back in DOS making Doom .wads, and escalated that into Doom ][ wads, Duke Nukem multiplayer maps, then onto half-life, Counter-strike, Kingpin, Unreal Tournament...some Warcraft and Heroes of Might and Magic II...any game that came with a level editor, I used.

Today, I'm still working with the Hammer editor making Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 maps. Currently, I'm making Falling Water, the Frank Lloyd Wright design. [Pics on demand if you want to see them so far.]
