Ahh yes memories. The ISA slot 🙂 And who could forget the complexities of installing a sound card and getting it to work on your system in those days. Driver conflicts, crashes, memory conflicts, DMA channels, IRQ settings, etc etc...
Or setting jumpers to change damn near anything - voltages, multipliers, bus speeds, underwear....

Lol yeah though I never did any overclocking in those days. I do remember having to change jumper settings when trying to troubleshoot ISA card conflicts. Very rarely is this an issue now but back then if you had a lot of ISA cards it could at times be a nightmare getting them to all act nice with one another. Interesting how the concept of "plug and play" went from plug and PRAY to actually really working very very well. Just took a lot more iterations than it should have.

Back when American Idol was making its debut, I thought (or hoped, I guess) that it wouldn't last past one season.

The monster it starting to die luckily, but damn it has a lot of hit points 🙁

Course this all goes back to reality TV in general which is a much bigger demon I wish they could vanquish too.

I realize that DBZ aired in the mid 90s in America. But it didn't really take off till the late 90s to early 2000s. I tend to think of it as an early 2000s 2000-2003ish thing. Of course the original Japanese release was back in the early 90s.

Ehh not me. I watched the show as a youngin when it was on Fox...

I'll never forget it - that was the golden age of computing for me. PnP came along and killed the fun.
