900ift or 900nf

I have the 900ift and it is a very nice monitor...I have never seen the 900nf so I cn not give a comparison....
900ift will do 85hz at 1280x1024 and 1600x1200 is ?75hz or higher I can not remember

Jeez my typing sucks in a big way to day...

For what it's worth, I think the IFT series monitors are excellent. If you can get a better deal on an IFT, I wouldn't hesitate to get it. I don't have any experience with the NF's, though.

IFT is the dynaflat flat shadow mask right?...word on the st. is that it's a damn nice monitor, tho the aperature grill NF is probably a little better...

depending how u define better...let me rephrase that...it's probably a little flatter...though perhaps not as sharp.

nortexoid kinda hit it IMO. I personally like the 900NF better because of higher specs and most importantly, it's a aperture grill meaning better colors. It is more flat too because the 900IFT dynaflat tube is not perfectly flat just has a flat piece of glass over it.

But if you're a person who prefers shadow masks for their crisper text (generally) or because the AG lines bother you, then go ahead with the 900IFT.

i have had the NF series monitor for over a year now and i must say it is the best monitor i have ever laid my eyes on. For the extra few bucks...the nf is worth it over the ift strictily because of the colour saturation.
try to go down to the local store and get a side by side comparison by a ap monitor and a shadow monitor
regardless of what tube (mitsu, trition look very identical), see if you think the colour of the ap is worth the prenium cost over the shadow
regards

I am using the 900IFT - word of advice - check the geometry!
The main problem is the horizontal can sometimes bend down to the right!
Samsung tech/customer support are very good though 🙂
