boston is excellent, as is san francisco. philly was tolerable and new york is a wicked toilet. i'd like to go to austin and chicago, but i have no need for los angeles.

I agree with most of this except:

New York is quite awesome
Boston/SF: awesome
Chicago: awesomesauce
Philly: shithole, blech.
LA: no need, meh
Austin: need to visit.

Another annoying thing about Boston.

I went to a couple American Meteorological Society conferences when I was in school. At first I though the organizers were just arrogant jerk-offs with speech impediments, then I realized they were all from Boston.

SF and Boston have the first and second highest rate of Apple product ownership. They are the douchiest places in America.

well, that shouldn't be shocking for SF, should it? he headquarters is here.

The real annoying thing though is that, working at Cal, they fucking cram that shit down your throats. gah! the department and student stores are 98% Mac. sucks.

I've been to Boston, NY, Baltimore, and Philly. I've disliked Philly and Boston the most among the east cities. I've never seen such a concentration of assholes and douches. It also seems they're proud to be complete dicks. I'll never visit those cities ever again. Especially Philly. I may give Boston one more chance, but Phuk Philly.

/anger!!!!

dont go to NYC then its 10000x worse then boston

No one hates Boston. Everyone hates Red Sox fans except Red Sox fans.

New York is universally hated by everyone except New Yorkers.

Many people hate Los Angeles, but most of them know very little about L.A. other than the Hollywood stuff.

San Franciscans hate everything, including other San Franciscans, more than enough for everyone else, so no one out of San Francisco needs to hate San Francisco.

No one hates Philly, per se. Most people are just too scared to go there.

Detroit is bashed, but not hated.

LA seems nice except it looks like a flat wasteland outside of the city.

I don't know shit about Boston except that it's home to Dropkick Murphys, which places it head and shoulders above most American cities in my view. DKM FTW.

Did they REALLY have to put all 9 myths on separate pages? They could have easily just put it on one page and it would have been a lot easier to read.

Douchebags.

I'm Bostonian myself.. my 2 cents:

#1 agreed: I say jokingly very seldom 'I'm from Beantown'.... but then they're right because it's not as common as Chicagoans calling their own city Chitown.

#2 agreed: Our drivers are assholes, but we're fucking nothing compared to NYC. Bigger the city = crazier people are. In NYC, ppl outright play chicken with you.

#3, 4, 5 agreed: I never understood this Cheers bullshit tourist trap bar. The bar neither resembles the show or was ever 'recorded' there. How is this Cheers on ANY level?

#6 agreed: tix aren't that hard to get, as long as you're prepared to pay through nose.

#7 DISAGREE: While the water isn't dirt filthy, no one would call it clean nevermind swimming in it. No one swims in <15 mins of Boston. The beaches like Wallaston are used for walking at most.

ROFL JIMMY FALLON accurately portrays a sox fan?
